How to Use the I’ll Wax Ya Chain Waxing Subscription

Love the benefits of a hot-waxed chain but don’t love the cleaning, melting, waxing and mess that comes with doing it yourself?

That’s exactly why we created the I’ll Wax Ya Chain Waxing Subscription.

For $40 per month, we take care of the chain waxing process for you, making it easier to keep your bike running with a clean, quiet and efficient drivetrain.

Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Sign Up Online

Head to the I’ll Wax Ya online store and purchase the $40/month Chain Waxing service and click the button for monthly subscription, this will give you 15% off on chain waxing while your subscribed.

Once you’re subscribed, you’re ready to start using the service.

Instead of waiting until your drivetrain is filthy or your chain desperately needs attention, your subscription gives you an easy way to stay on top of your chain maintenance.

Step 2: Get Your Chain to I’ll Wax Ya

When your chain is ready for a fresh wax, get in touch with I’ll Wax Ya and organise your service.

You can bring us your bike and let us take care of the chain removal and installation, or organise the chain with us depending on the service required.

The idea is simple: you ride the bike, we deal with the wax.

Step 3: We Clean & Re-Wax Your Chain

This is where we take over.

Your chain is properly prepared before being treated with hot-melt chain wax.

Keeping contamination out of a waxed drivetrain is one of the keys to getting the best performance from it, so regular servicing helps keep your chain clean, smooth and ready for more kilometres.

Step 4: Get Back on the Bike

Once your chain is ready, it can be reinstalled and you’re good to ride.

No slow cookers.

No pots of wax in the kitchen.

No trying to work out whether you’ve cleaned the chain properly.

And no going back to a black, oily drivetrain.

Just a freshly waxed chain ready to ride.

Want Even Less Downtime? Run Two Chains.

For regular riders, one of our favourite setups is a two-chain rotation.

Instead of waiting for your current chain to be serviced, you can have a second waxed chain ready to go.

When Chain #1 needs a fresh wax, swap to Chain #2 and keep riding while the first chain is being serviced.

Then repeat.

It’s an incredibly simple way to run a waxed drivetrain, particularly if you’re training regularly, racing or putting plenty of kilometres through the bike.

When Should I Get My Chain Re-Waxed?

There isn’t one perfect distance for every rider.

How long a wax treatment lasts can depend on your riding conditions, weather, kilometres and the type of riding you’re doing.

If the chain starts becoming noticeably noisier or you’ve been riding through wet or dirty conditions, it’s generally a good indication that it’s time to give it some attention.

The beauty of the subscription is that chain maintenance becomes part of your routine rather than something you forget about.

Why Subscribe Instead of Waxing at Home?

You absolutely can wax chains yourself.

But to do it properly, you need the equipment, chain preparation, wax, time and a willingness to deal with the process regularly.

We created the I’ll Wax Ya subscription for riders who want the benefits of a waxed drivetrain without turning chain maintenance into another hobby.

You Ride. We Wax.

For $40/month, let I’ll Wax Ya take care of your chain maintenance so you can spend more time doing what actually matters — riding your bike.

Join the I’ll Wax Ya Chain Waxing Subscription today and make the switch to a cleaner, quieter drivetrain
