We take a brand-new SRAM Rival Flattop chain, remove the factory lubricant and contamination, thoroughly prepare the chain and immerse it in Squirt Performance Hot Wax. The result is a clean, quiet and efficient drivetrain from your first ride.

SRAM’s Flattop technology is designed to provide a narrower chain with quiet operation, strength and durability, while Squirt Performance Hot Wax uses a paraffinic and synthetic wax formulation with hBN solid lubricant designed for low friction, drivetrain protection and clean running.

Why Squirt Performance Hot Wax?

Squirt developed its Performance Hot Wax as a high-performance immersive chain treatment using paraffinic and synthetic waxes together with hBN solid lubricant. Squirt says the formulation is designed for low friction, strong metal adhesion, durability and minimal break-in. It is also PFAS-free, solvent-free and inherently biodegradable. 

Once the initial hot-wax treatment eventually needs topping up, Squirt Long Lasting Chain Lube can also be used between full hot-wax treatments. Squirt recommends roughly 3–4 drip-wax top-ups before resetting the chain with another full hot-wax treatment.
